The Millennium Stadium in Cardiff is used to hosting events of worldwide interest. This summer it will be hosting another great sporting event - the Rugby World Cup. In 2017 it will host two of European's finest football teams. Two teams of Europe's galácticos and their fans. Wherever in Europe you are travelling from, you can be sure of a friendly Welsh welcome to our sport mad capital city.
One of Europe's youngest capital cities, small and we like to think perfectly formed, has the space to relax before the big game but also plenty of bars and restaurants to discuss who'll score and what the winning margin will be. Take a wander through the six victorian shopping arcades to pick up a souvenir to go along with that 'I was there' moment. Taking notes of when and where to visit when you're not suffering from football fever.
The final whistle goes. You're either in seventh heaven or down in the dumps. However you're feeling it's time to dissect the game. The did you sees, the maybes and the if onlys. This needs to be done with quality food and drink. Luckily it's a short walk to the city centre; and befitting a European capital city with a vibrant history of ethnic and cultural diversity, you won’t go short whether you’re looking for Thai, Italian, French, Indian, Lebanese, or the finest locally-sourced Welsh produce. Maybe washing it down with an ale from Wales.
