Explore freezes holiday prices in wake of Brexit

Explore has frozen its holiday prices until August 1 in the wake of the vote to leave the European Union.

The adventure tour operator said the move was prompted by uncertainty and the weakening pound, adding that its price guarantee meant that no extra surcharges would be applied.

John Telfer, Explore’s product and operations director, said: “Right now, there is a high level of uncertainty in the currency markets. Customers who have already booked with Explore can relax in the knowledge that they won’t be charged a penny more.

"But for those thinking of booking, we’ve decided to freeze holiday prices for the land only part of the trip. Flight costs by their very nature vary on a day-to-day basis, which is out of our control, but once a customer books and pays their deposit, the cost of the whole trip will not change.”

The price freeze includes all trips on a land only basis.
