On Saturday, 31 October 2015, around 1300 people took advantage of a peek behind the scenes at the Lindberg Private Clinic in Winterthur. The city’s only private clinic had organized an open day that gave the general public an opportunity to see the extensive conversion and renovation work in all its new splendour.
The Genolier Swiss Medical Network (GSMN), to which the clinic belongs, has invested around 11 million francs in the refurbishment. All the patients' rooms and suites have been thoroughly renovated and given a stylish facelift while the elegant lobby now has a new reception area.

Tours of the premises allowed visitors to see the new features for themselves and to gain a fascinating insight into modern medical technology. And the children weren’t forgotten either: their playful introduction to the wonders of technology took the form of X-rays for their teddy bears.

The clinic's public restaurant, the Trois Tilleuls, opened back in April, and the kitchen team kept visitors supplied with a never-ending stream of delicious snacks. One special attraction was Winterthur's longest-ever apple strudel, which was auctioned off piece by piece for a charitable cause.
